The Yew Leaf® Self-Leadership Program helps people navigate toward their ideal life. It is geared toward people who are open to self exploration, who want to overcome an issue or problem, and create positive change in their lives. It is designed for people with a goal, dream, or desire to be achieved. The Program aims to empower people to live the life they have always wanted.
The methodology we designed for The Yew Leaf® Self Leadership Program is based on the recognition that the information that best serves you comes from the deep recesses of your soul. It is our job to raise your awareness by asking the right questions, and by identifying observations, disempowering perceptions, limiting beliefs, and possible alternatives.
Through enhancing your self awareness, we bring about a shift away from external influences that offer misdirection and toward inner awareness and self direction.
We are dedicated to helping you realign your thoughts and actions with your inner core, a place of natural well being. We are focused on, and dedicated to your self leadership development. We are eager to bring about lasting inner peace, joy and freedom in your life, all of which are prerequisites for success.
Our aim is to help you re-establish your natural state of well being so that you can clear your inner compass, regain focus, and allow your best decisions and actions to flow forward.
The framework we designed is our foundation for coaching people toward success, but every person is different and each session is managed uniquely. Some people prefer to resolve issues one at a time during each session, while others aim to resolve more complex situations, or achieve a short, or long-term life goal. The process is agile, and is designed to support you, a developing and practicing self leader, in the resolution of your problems and in the realization of your goals, dreams, and desires.
The program generally works like this:
Together we head off on a road trip of discovery. It is impossible to predict up front exactly where you will start and stop, which exact route you will take, and precisely where you will end up. The good news is that you don’t need to have all the answers because you have a navigator, your Yew Leaf Coach (that’s us!), who will intelligently respond to the evolving situation.
Step One (General): We initiate each session with some general diagnostics questions which lay the ground work for knowing and understanding you and your needs. You coach will ask some key questions and actively listen to your answers. The questions focus on your current circumstances followed by where you’d like to be in your life. We know that we can only move ahead from the present so in the first step we stay focused on the here and now.
Step Two (Opportunities): Once we are clear on where you are right now in your life, we begin working together to get clear on the destination; on what you want to change, where you want to be, or who you want to be in your life. What is it that you would like to resolve, overcome, or accomplish? What is your problem, goal, dream, or desire? This phase helps us to clarify direction.
Step Three (Options): The next phase is to prepare ourselves for the destination. This is when we take a high-level look at the gap between where you are today and where you want to be, and what it might take to get there.
Step Four (Obstacles): Destinations often change, so this stage involves checking in with where you are, how far you’ve come, and where you’re headed. We want to be sure we’re on track. During this phase, your coach will help bring to light subconscious road blocks, or external obstacles that may interfere with successful self direction because we know it takes someone else, other than yourself, to shed light on personal, hidden road blocks. When appropriate we offer tools, resources, and tips that can be used along your specific journey to overcome a problem, identified barrier or obstacle.
Step Five (Goal setting and Observations): When we have taken into account key scenarios, and possibilities regarding the resolution of a problem or the achievement of a goal, your coach will point out observations from a different vantage point. Your coach will help you to identify and choose the most logical next steps. At this point, if appropriate, we’ll set some SMART goals that are: specific, measurable, achievable, and realistic.
Step Six (Accountability): Upon setting your course, your coach will check in with your defined measure of success, and ask if you are committed to the journey, the destination, and taking the next steps to make it happen.
Step Seven (Action): This step is entirely up to you, but what we, at The Yew Leaf know well is that with increased clarity comes greater happiness which leads to inspired action. When we focus on our keys to success as emphasized in this coaching program (well being, self development, and the practice of self leadership) we quickly begin moving toward our desired outcome. Ultimately, we reach it and so much more!
We meet with people who want a better life for one hour each session. We no longer meet in person for reasons of efficacy. Instead, to help serve you better, we meet over the phone, or via skype/facetime/google hang-out, etc. Meeting over the phone or online offers some people the comfort to express themselves more freely, and to be more open, thereby enhancing and expediting the overall results of the Program.
Confidentiality and Coach-Client Relationship
What is discussed during any and all sessions is completely confidential. We ensure this by co-signing a confidentiality agreement with you which also defines some respectable working parameters that we can both agree upon.
